another year older...

So today was my birthday. I decided to force myself to get out of the house and go to Pensacola for the day. Zac is TDY, Makenna is in school, so off I went. I stopped by Michaels and Target. Nothing spectacular there. I did buy a scrapbooking magazine with my 40% coupon. I headed over to Hobby Lobby and found another one of those wall word things for my scrapbook room. That's pretty much it... oh yeah. I stopped by Bealls where they had a ton of clothes for 70% off. I actually tried on a few things, but nothing looked right. It was either too big, or too small. Now I remember why I hate clothes shopping. It's so depressing!!

Anyway, when Makenna got home she and I went for a bike ride around the neighborhood. Mom came by later and brought a card (and money- thanks mom!) And that was it for the excitement of this year's birthday!

Where are the phone calls from my supposed friends wishing me a Happy Birthday? hmmm... makes me wonder.

Tomorrow is my birthday. I will be a whopping 34 years old. Can you sense my enthusiasm? Yeah. I think I will go out and buy some hair color to cover up my head full of gray hair. LOL! Seriously!

a tribute to my favorite TV show!

What's a girl to do?

Ok, it's Sunday afternoon, and I am so bored. Makenna is taking a nap (I guess she is worn out from the overnight at grandma's) and Zac left about an hour or so ago to go on TDY for schooling.

So what's a girl to do? I could clean house, or do laundry. I could take a nap with Makenna (hmmm, that sounds tempting). I really should get in that scrapbook room and attempt to get caught up.

Instead I sit here trying to learn this blog thing. Boy, it's going to be a long week.

back in kindergarten

So I spent the entire day again in Makenna's kindergarten class. I come in and help her teacher with the kids and testing their skills, etc. The kids have all really gotten to know me, which is pretty neat I guess. I always get lots of hugs, etc when they see me.

But one litte boy there really scares me. When he grows up, he will be that child that comes to school with a gun, or the one that will be in prison for hurting someone. I am serious. He is in a constant other world. And it's like pulling teeth getting him to do any work at all. And he doesn't care. He has no clue. It's so frustrating! Thank goodness I am blessed with a child who is pretty well behaved! I would go nuts if I weren't. That probably explains why he asked me today if I thought kids were a pain, because his mom and dad told him that they were. Go figure. Now I understand why he is the way he is. Sad.
